Benit0 Juárez probably sees more visitors from Oaxaca than any of the other villages in the Pueblos Mancomunados simply because it is the closest to the capital city. Another good reason to go there is that it is a great jumping-off place for hikes or bike rides to other communities in the Sierra Norte. The ecotourism camp there, which is right in town and not somewhere off in the surrounding forest, is one of the oldest in the system, but has spacious rooms and has been kept in good condition. The mirador just a 30 minute walk from town is a good place to visit. And visitors can do day hikes to La Neveria, Latuvi or Cuajimoloyas. The ecotourism office and a small but capable restaurant for visitors are located in the center of town.
